What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Support Worker, you’ll be a champion for our service users, providing the care and encouragement they need to thrive. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, includes:

• Personal Support: Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores, ensuring our service users feel comfortable and independent.
• Skill Development: Encouraging and supporting the development of life skills, from cooking and cleaning to managing finances and using public transportation.
• Social Engagement: Planning and participating in fun and engaging activities, outings, and events that promote social interaction and community involvement.
• Emotional Well-being: Offering a listening ear and emotional support, helping to build confidence and self-esteem.
• Advocacy: Empowering our service users to voice their needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and choices are respected.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with other team members, families, and external agencies to provide holistic and personalized support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Empathy & Compassion: A caring heart and understanding nature to connect with our service users on a personal level.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is great, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with service users, families, and team members.
• Patience & Resilience: The ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Energetic & Fun-Loving: A zest for life and a sense of humor to bring fun and excitement into every day.
