Kitchen Assistant
Location: Camden, London

Hourly Rate: £13

Responsibilities:

Hygienic Food Preparation:

• Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas in accordance with established hygiene standards
• Assist the Cook in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat.

Appliance and Utensil Maintenance:

• Wash and appropriately store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.

Kitchen Cleaning:

• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Wipe down kitchen walls to ensure a sanitary environment.

Food Supply Management:

• Assist in unloading delivered food supplies.
• Organize and correctly store food supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Cook and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely preparation of meals.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free kitchen environment.

Flexibility:

• Be adaptable to various tasks and responsibilities as needed in a dynamic kitchen setting.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding any issues or requirements.

Quality Control:

• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation.

Compliance:

• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
