Job Description
Operations Administrator (Maternity Cover) – London, Hybrid | £26,120
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Operations Administrator to join Winlight Recruitment on a fixed-term maternity cover basis, commencing 1 June 2026 for approximately 9 months. The end date is subject to the return of the substantive postholder and may end earlier or be extended accordingly.
This is a genuinely exciting time to join us – we are actively embedding AI into how we operate, and this role offers a real opportunity for someone with a passion for technology to grow alongside that journey, picking up hands-on experience that goes well beyond a traditional operations role.
This is a broad, hands-on role at the heart of the business – supporting every department, touching every system, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work independently on a wide range of tasks, from systems administration and IT support to digital marketing and office coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Managing and maintaining our Monday.com workspaces and automations – the operational backbone of the business
· Monitoring IT support tickets and escalating or assisting alongside our external IT team where required
· Supporting AI tool adoption and technology implementation across the business
· Coordinating new starter and leaver logistics – system access, IT equipment and practical onboarding support
· Designing bespoke graphics in Canva for key dates, milestones and campaigns
· Reviewing, adjusting and publishing social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
· Managing vendor relationships, office supplies, travel bookings and team events
· Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly operational reports
· General office coordination – post, merchandise, minor troubleshooting and ad hoc support
What We’re Looking For
Essential
· Experience in an operations, administration or similar cross-functional role
· Technologically confident and a fast learner – Monday.com experience is a plus but not essential
· A genuine interest in AI and emerging technology – someone who uses AI in their day-to-day life and is curious about how it can be applied at work
· Proficient in Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· Highly organised, an excellent communicator and comfortable working independently
· Patient, approachable and happy in a support-facing, training-style capacity
· Discreet and professional – you’ll have access to confidential operational data
· Able to commute into London
Desirable
· Experience with Canva or similar design tools
· Exposure to machine learning or broader technical skills
· Background in tech support, systems training or a similar role
Why Join Us?
· Comprehensive handover and onboarding – you’ll be set up for success from day one
· A supportive, friendly team with regular social events
· You’ll be at the centre of our AI journey – not just using the tools, but actively helping to shape how we adopt and embed them across the business
· A genuinely varied role where no two days are the same
· You’ll receive hands-on training across our full technology stack – from Monday.com to AI tools – giving you real, transferable experience that will genuinely add to your skillset
