Winlight Recruitment is a leading healthcare staffing agency dedicated to providing exceptional care services. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Officer to join our team in Kintbury, Newbury, supporting elderly service users dealing with dementia.

Job Description:

As a Care Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our service users. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, eating, and medication management.
• Providing physical support with household tasks and personal care.
• Supporting and helping with healthcare needs, including routine checks and medication administration.
• Encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Teaching life skills such as shopping, using public transport, and managing bills.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of care.
• Monitoring and assisting with the improvement of their health conditions.
• Promoting participation in hobbies, sports, and potential employment opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 6 months of relevant experience working with adults dealing with dementia.
• Certification: SOVA – Level 2.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service.
• Covid passport – Double vaccination.

Preferred Qualification:

• Car driving ability: Suitable candidates must be able to travel to Kintbury – Newbury, so car drivers will be preferred.
