If so, Winlight Recruitment wants to hear from you! We’re currently seeking a caring and reliable Passenger Assistant to support children during their journeys to and from school.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Passenger Assistant, you’ll be responsible for the safe and comfortable transportation of children with additional needs. Your mission includes:

🚌 Journey Support: Assisting children during pick-up and drop-off, ensuring a safe and calm experience.

🧠 Specialist Care: Supporting children with learning disabilities and behavioural needs with empathy and patience.

💬 Clear Communication: Engaging positively with children, drivers, school staff, and families to ensure smooth handovers.

🛡️ Safety Monitoring: Ensuring that seat belts and travel safety protocols are followed at all times.

📋 Record Keeping: Reporting any incidents or concerns to your supervisor or relevant safeguarding team.

What We’re Looking For:

💡 Experience: At least 6 months’ experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities.

🗣️ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills – you’ll be the link between home and school.

📚 Knowledge: Understanding of working within a children’s service or similar environment.

💪 Attitude: Self-motivated, flexible, and resourceful – someone who can think on their feet.

Perks & Benefits:

💷 Pay Rate: £15+ per hour (umbrella rates)

🕒 Shift Pattern: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (4 hours total daily)

📍 Location: New Malden, Kingston, KT3 4AH
